Scholarship

Our chapter holds academics as a very high priority.  Virginia Tech, one of the tougher academic universities in the region, requires students to put an important emphasis on the value of scholarship.  That's none more apparent than in Sigma Chi.  We ensure that all members are receiving brother-to-brother tutoring and attention so that their grades do not suffer.

For new members, or pledges, we require 8 study hours a week to make sure that they are putting in effort to achieve high academically. We check their grades electronically on a week-to-week basis, and we match them up with brothers who are enrolled in the same classes.
